The state of Telangana was officially formed on 2 June 2014.The day marks significance in the state’s history for the sustained Telangana movement through the years.
Telangana State Formation Day was celebrated with aplomb in Kamareddy districts on 2 June 2020. Kamareddy district headquarters wore a festive look as government offices were illuminated with colourful lights. The National Flag was hoisted on the occasion to mark the Formation Day of the state. after hoisting the tricolour, homage was paid to Telangana martyrs and statues of Telangana Talli.
The Districdt Collector paid rich tributes to Telangana martyrs while attending the celebrations as chief guest at the Police Parade Grounds. He received the Guard of Honour from the forces.Students presented cultural programmes on the occasion. Government departments displayed tableaux highlighting the developmental works and welfare schemes.
In Kamareddy, Best performance awards presented to the employees and others on the occasion.Meanwhile, various political parties and other organisations celebrated the fourth Telangana Formation Day in the district.
- Festive Attires :
The Government is keen on conducting Cultural Programmes. People are Dressed with Cultural Events Dressing depicting the themes of telangana movement by duly showcasing the art forms of Telangana.
District Collectors were asked to organise kavi sammelans on a themes of their choice related to Telangana Culture, heritage, places and contemporary developments at the district headquarters.
The Collectors were also asked to conduct formation day celebrations in all schools and educational institutions. It is necessary to educate young kids about the grand history, culture and Telangana movement, and to inculcate values among students to love their motherland and derive inspiration from collective spirit of the people. The District is bathed in a pink glow on Prominent buildings, monuments, and architectural splendors were lit up in pink to mark the occasion.
