Mini Tank Bund Kalki Cheruvu, Banswada
DirectionBanswada Kalki Pond to be turned into a mini tank bund, now Boating facilities have been started in Kalki Cheruvu of Banswada town, and were formally inaugurated by Banswada MLA and Hon’ble Telangana State Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy on 09-01-2021 Saturday evening. Many residents of the town are expected to flock to the lake to utilise the new amenity.
Considering the increase in population of Banswada, the fact that the town is a major centre for several mandals and the high floating population of the town, the Banswada Municipality has concentrated on development of parks and recreational spots.
As the Kalki Cheruvu receives water from the Nizamsagar canal too, it will be full throughout the year. So, the Tourism department arranged boating facilities equipped with modern and safe boats. Officials say very soon, beside the mini tank bund, a park would be developed.

At present, there is no functional airport in Kamareddy . The closest airport is the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, at a distance of 171km.
By Train
You can reach Kamareddy from Secundrabad(SC) or Kacheguda(KCG) by travelling in a train. Secundrabad to Kamareddy train takes approximately 2 hours 15 minutes. and also You can reach Nizamabad from Secundrabad(SC) or Kacheguda(KCG) by travelling in a train. Secundrabad to Nizamabad train takes approximately 3 hours.
By Road
Banswada is located at a distance of nearly 60kmrs from Kamareddy District head quaters, 51kms kms from Nizamabad town and 171 Kms from Hyderabad and is accessible by road.
