SUCCESS STORY OF COOP. DEPARTMENT IN KAMAREDDY DISTRICT

• The main functions of the Department are to register the societies under APCS Act.1964 & MACS Act.1995 and to look after their sound functioning and to run on sound lines.
• Audit of society Accounts, Periodical Inspections, Statutory Inquiries, Inspections, Liquidations, Arbitration and Execution Petition will be conducted by the Departmental Officers, by exercising the powers delegated to them under the APCS Act.1964.

CONDUCT OF ELECTIONS TO PRIMARY AGRIL.COOP. SOCIETIES/

FARMERS SERVICE COOP. SOCIETIES

• The Government of Telangana has decided to conduct elections to the Managing committee of Cooperative Credit Societies i.e., Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Societies, Farmers service Cooperative Credit Societies and District Cooperative Central Banks, Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank in the state. Elections for 54 PACSs & 1 FSCS were conducted in the year 2020. The entire process will take (02) months’ nearly. But, in 2020, the department has completed this election process within (15) days only. Thus, the department has written the history in Cooperative Structure. 

MSP OPERATIONS

• The department, by our PACS/FSCS/IDCMS societies are participating in MSP operations for past (08) years and providing Minimum support price to its farmers. With the help of this activity, the societies are getting commission and thus turning to prudential. In Last Khariff 2020-21, organizing by large number of (309) procurement centers, 3.44 Lakh MTs of paddy procured from 99138 Farmers. And also procured 5.03 Lakh Quintals of maize through (23) PACSs with its (36) centers from 14325 farmers.

In paddy Procurement, comparing to other districts, our department has expedited the purchases in the district and therefore scored first place in early completion of procurements.

LOANS TO FARMERS THROUGH PACSs

PACSs and FSCS are working for provide of credit facility to its members /Farmers.  Here the following details are given under pertaining to crop loans for the period from 01.04.2020 to 16.09.2020.

The main object of the department is to help the farmers / members of the societies by providing ST, LT, MT loans and Fertilizer & Seeds through (54) PACS & (01) F.S.C.S.  in the District to bring out the farmers from the clutches of money lenders.
