Fish Production :
Fisheries is one of the fast growing sectors generating income and employment in the Kamareddy District. This sector plays an important role in the overall socio-economic development of fisher families in Kamareddy by providing nutrition & food security.
Fisheries is one of the most important traditional occupation and is providing livelihoods to many families in the District apart from being an important source of food nutrient.

Welfare Schemes under Implementation:
- Construction of Community Halls.
Construction of Community Halls under Normal State Plan scheme with Unit cost of Rs. 10.00 Lakhs with 90% grant and remaining 10% contribution by the MLA / MLC/ MP / Own funds. The main criteria for eligibility is, the society must have minimum membership of (50) active fishermen and sufficient land on its own or allotted by the Government. The details of FCS which were sanctioned community Halls are as shown below.

Out of these 30 Community halls 27 are constructed and remaining 3 community halls are under construction.
Fish Seed stocking particulars in all Reservoirs, deptl tanks and G.P Tanks on 100% grant during 2019-20 :
During this year in (551) departmental tanks and gram Panchayat tanks are identified for stocking, fish seed stocked i.e., 2.81 Crores and (01) reservoir is stocked with 17.55 lakhs seed stocked i.e., in Nizamsagar reservoir.

Achievement of Fish Seed Stocking (2020-21):
Fish Seed Stocked in 556 tanks Quantity of Seed Stocked 232.87 Lakhs i.e.35-40mm Size of Seed, in 36 Tanks Quantity of Seed Stocked 96.33Lakhs i.e. 80-100mm Size of Seed Stocked.
Under the this scheme the government has released Sanction Orders of 1000.00 Crores for benefit of the members in the Primary Fishermen co-operative societies (PFCSs) during the year 2017-18 & 2018-19 with (38) components including in the project. The applications are received from Beneficiaries and eligible beneficiaries list uploaded in E-laabh, 95% of Scheme is grounded and remaining components grounding is going on.
