As part of the Road Safety Month celebrations, a voluntary eye check-up and blood donation camp was organized at RTA Office, Narasannapalli on Monday, January 6. Speaking at this awareness program, District Transport Department Officer Srinivasa Reddy said that eye check-ups should be mandatory and addressed the drivers and common citizens who participated in the program. Tens of people enthusiastically underwent eye tests and certificates of appreciation were given to those who donated blood. Motor Vehicle Inspector Nagalakshmi thanked the medical team and the Transport Department staff who helped in organizing the program. Motor Vehicles Inspector Afrozuddin created awareness at Abhyudaya School, Domakonda as part of the Road Safety Month celebrations and administered a pledge to auto drivers on the rules and regulations.
Many public representatives and citizens were happy to see the Transport Department awareness programs taking place across the district.
